Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the ChampDex mobile application (the “App”) operated by Aaron Treinish (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
ChampDex is a companion tool for the Pokémon Champions video game. The App provides game reference data, team building tools, damage calculation, and tournament meta analysis to assist competitive players.
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
2. Intellectual Property
- The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Aaron Treinish and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Pokémon, Pokémon Champions, and all related properties, characters, names, and images are trademarks and copyrights of Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Game Freak. ChampDex is an unofficial fan-made companion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or Game Freak.
- Pokémon data is sourced from PokéAPI (pokeapi.co), an open-source Pokémon database. Tournament data is sourced from Limitless TCG (limitlesstcg.com). Damage calculation logic is based on the Smogon Pokémon Showdown damage calculator.
3. In-App Purchases
- The App offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (“ChampDex Pro”) that unlocks additional features.
- All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms and conditions.
- Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.
- You may restore previously purchased content using the “Restore Purchase” option in the App.
4. Refunds
All purchases are made through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.
5. User Content
- Teams, notes, and configurations you create in the App (“User Content”) remain your property.
- User Content is stored locally on your device and, if applicable, in your personal iCloud account. We do not access, view, or store your User Content on our servers.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App’s servers or data services
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its content
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Game data will be perfectly accurate or complete at all times
- The App will be compatible with future game updates immediately upon release
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
